Our commitment
The HIGOLD Israel website works to make its services accessible to all, including people with disabilities. We believe everyone has the right to full and equal access to the information and services we offer, and we have invested ongoing effort to meet the requirements of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998 (חוק שוויון זכויות לאנשים עם מוגבלות) and its Service Accessibility Regulations, 5773-2013.
Accessibility standard
The site meets Israeli Standard IS 5568 at level AA, based on the W3C's WCAG 2.0 guidelines. Accessibility includes code adaptations, keyboard navigation, alternative text for images, semantic heading structure, adequate colour contrast, and screen-reader support.
Adjustments we have made
- Semantic page structure with hierarchical heading tags (h1-h6)
- Alternative text (alt) for all meaningful images on the site
- Full keyboard navigation with clear focus indicators
- Compatibility with leading screen readers — NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack
- Colour contrast at WCAG 2.0 AA level (4.5:1 for normal text)
- Support for up to 200% zoom without breaking the layout
- Accessibility menu with 7 quick adjustments (font size, contrast, link underline, pause motion, readable font, large cursor, focus highlight)
- Respect for the operating system's prefers-reduced-motion setting
- Forms with associated labels and correct field pairing
- Hebrew/Arabic text displayed in correct RTL direction
The accessibility menu
An accessibility button is available on every page in the bottom-left corner. Clicking it opens a menu with quick personal adjustments. Your choices are saved in the browser and apply on future visits too.
Known limitations
Third-party content (such as embedded videos or map components) may not be fully accessible, as it is outside our control. If you encounter such content, please let us know and we will provide an accessible alternative.

If you encountered an accessibility issue on the site, or wish to receive information in an accessible way, please contact us. We will do our best to address your request promptly and no later than seven business days.
